JONAY PMATOS - DE DONDE YO SOY (1) PRIMER ENCUENTRO

"De donde yo soy" es una reflexión, a través del arte, sobre el pasado, el presente y el futuro de las Islas Canarias, haciendo hincapié en el pueblo en el que nací, Vecindario, donde el paisaje difiere mucho del que se vende de las Islas Canarias. 
"De donde yo soy" tiene un presente difuso en el que se mezclan los restos del pasado con modernos molinos eólicos que abren paso a un posible futuro en el que se aprovechen los recursos naturales en beneficio de todos. El verdadero valor de las Islas Canarias reside en sus recursos naturales infinitos y generosos como son el sol, el viento y la fuerza del océano. 

Where I come from" is a reflection through art, about the past, present and future of the Canary Islands, emphasizing the town where I was born, Vecindario, where the landscape is very different than selling of the Canary Islands. "Where I come from" has a diffuse present in which the remains of the past mixed with modern windmills that give way to a possible future in which natural resources are used for the benefit of all. The real value the Canary Islands lies in its infinite and abundant natural resources like the sun, the wind and strength of the ocean. 

1º Encuentro Internacional de Arte y Energía Contemporánea de Vecindario 2014. Esta intervención pretende llamar la atención sobre el estado de esta zona de la ciudad y aportar un nueva visión sobre el uso que podría tener. Se trata de una zona gran riqueza en energía solar, eólica y mareomotriz que podría ser utilizada para obtener energías renovables. El objetivo de este Encuentro es reivindicar, a través del arte, que la energía que deberíamos tener en las Islas Canarias en el año 2014 es la obtenida en las propias islas explotando sus recursos naturales infinitos y generosos como el sol, el viento y la fuerza del océano. En esta intervención ha participado Abel González, Clara Peñalver y Jonay PMatos. Este Encuentro es parte de la serie "De donde soy yo"

1º International Meeting of Contemporary Energy and Art of Vecindario 2014. This intervention aims to draw attention to the state of this area of ​​the city and provide a new insight into the use it could have. This is an area rich in solar, wind and hydro power that could be used for renewable energy. The purpose of this meeting is to claim, through art, the energy we should have in the Canary Islands in 2014 is obtained in the islands themselves exploiting its infinite and generous natural resources like sun, wind and strength ocean.
